Winter Kids Ice Fishing Tournament

On Sunday, February 13th, 2005 we had our Annual Winter Kids Ice Fishing Tournament. Plenty of young anglers were there to try and get "The Big One". The weather was a bit chilly, but fun was had by all.

Unfortunately the fish where not cooperating. We had no fish at the end of the day. There was a drawing with all the kids names and picked 2 winners, who received new fishing poles. The winners were Ronetta Muha and Kurtis Hausherr. Congratulations to them.

Hot dogs, hot chocolate, chips, worms, a warm building and prizes for all the children were provided by the Fishing Committee.

Thank you to everyone who helped on the ice cutting holes and encouraging the children to keep trying. I really want to say thank you also to everyone helping in the boat house while I was in pain with a bad back. Fellow members jumped in and took charge.

That is what teamwork is all about.
