The Detroit Sportsmen's Congress
(DSC) was founded in Detroit Michigan in 1936 for the
purpose of promoting better hunting and fishing within
the state.
At its present location
since 1948 the DSC occupies 106 acres on Dequindre road
between M-59 and 23 mile road in Shelby Township.
The Dequindre property
is the location of our range facilities and we offer
Junior programs in Archery, Rifle, Shotgun and Pistol
At the same location you will find the office and clubhouse,
with a full service members-only bar and kitchen.
The DSC also has a 131 acre campground located near
Oxford, Michigan. The campgrounds is nestled in a scenic
northern Michigan setting on the 30 acre pristine Horseshoe
Lake for your camping, swimming, and fishing enjoyment.
Offered are 190 campsites with water, electricity (up
to 50 amp service), showers, restrooms, and a dumping
station.
Our Education Committee
offers various classes that are open to members and
members of the community.
